To remove the progress box that appears during printing in Print-2-Image 5 & 6, you will need to add the following key to your registry:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Print-2-Image\FileOptions]"ShowProgress"="0"
Warning: If you are not familiar with adding keys to your registry, please have someone familiar with the registry do this for you. Editing with the registry may lead to serious system problems. For additional assistance, please feel free to contact technical support.
This error is caused by several conditions:
Print-2-Image cannot start or stop the Print Spooler Service during installation.
Print-2-Image cannot write to the registry during installation.
When Excel encounters a page where the format changes from chart to worksheet or worksheet to chart, it sends a new print job to the printer. If you have autofilename enabled on your Print-2-Image properties, only the last print job will be in your output file because each print job will overwrite the previous one.
In later versions of Print-2-Image (6.0.0.122 or higher), this problem may be avoided by checking the "Automatic Sequential Number" box in P2i's printer properties under the File Options tab.
You are most likely running an early version of Windows 95. You will need the Ole Update from Microsoft. You may download it from us here. Optionally, you may download Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater directly from Microsoft.
Microsoft Word has a default feature called Background Printing, which pushes any printer dialog boxes to Word's background when printing. When Print-2-Image is set to Manual File Naming, a "Save As" windows will pop up and require input in order for printing to continue.
If Word is sized and positioned correctly, this window will be hidden behind the Word window. To resolve this issue, perform the following:
To set up multi-user printing from one computer you will have to disable Microsoft's IniFileMapping for Print-2-Image. To disable the IniFileMapping follow these instructions:
Removing the IniFileMapping will solve this issue. Typically, Print-2-Image uses an .ini file to store settings. As part of the installation process, an IniFileMapping is created (in the registry - this functionality is provided by Windows) which maps the .ini file to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\... As a result, each user stores his or her own settings.
You can delete the IniFileMapping (which will cause an actual .ini file in the Windows dir to be used), or you could change it to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\... The .ini file mappings are located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping.
This error is caused by Print-2-Image being unable to access or move a file during the print process.
