Print-2-Image Version 7 is now available!
Imecom Group is pleased to announce the release of Version 7 of our flagship Print-2-Image Printer Driver software. Print-2-Image version 7 has many new and exciting features, including support for Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 64-bit Windows operating system software, and a host of new image file outputs, including PDF, JPG, GIF, and Bitmap to compliment the existing TIFF, PCX and DCX image outputs.
Microsoft DST Patch Alert
* This announcement applies to DM Fax Server installations where the Imecom Exchange Fax Connector is used.
The Microsoft DST patch when applied to either a Microsoft Exchange Server or the Imecom DM Fax Server is causing the Imecom Exchange Fax Connector to function incorrectly. It appears the DST patch affects the "send as" permissions of the service account designated to start the Imecom Exchange Fax Connector service. As a result, inbound faxes and transmission reports disappear when the DM Fax Server routes these messages to Exchange.
The solution to this issue is to upgrade to DM Fax Server version 8.0.3. Please note that version 8.0.3 no longer supports Brooktrout TR114 series fax boards. If you currently use TR114 series fax boards, Imecom Group recommends replacing them with TR1034 or SR140 series fax boards.

Disable Automatic Windows Updates
Imecom Group's technical support staff is recommending to all customers that automatic Windows Updates be disabled on the Imecom DM Fax Server machine. There have been several new updates released by Microsoft that inadvertently cause the DM Fax Server to stop functioning properly. If you currently have automatic updates enabled on the DM Fax Server, please consider disabling them. It is recommended that you disable them completely, rather than try to control updates through policies.
Brooktrout TR114 End of Life
Cantata Technologies, manufacturer of Brooktrout intelligent fax boards, places its TR114 series fax boards in End of Life status. With the release of DM Fax Server version 8.0.3, which incorporates the Brooktrout SDK version 5.0, Brooktrout TR114 series fax cards are no longer supported. Customers that have TR114 fax boards are encouraged to replace them with TR1034 or SR140 series fax board products. At present, it is possible to continue using TR114 series fax boards with DM Fax Server 8.0.1. and previous versions.

Microsoft MS06-029 and MS06-019 Security Updates affecting DM Fax Server installations that use the Imecom Exchange Fax Connector.
These two security updates affect the "Send As" permissions of the service account designated to start the Imecom Exchange Connector services. These updates prevent inbound faxes and transmission reports from being properly forwarded.
