The DM Web Fax Client is a browser-based fax client that can be added to the DM Fax Server. DM Web Fax Client enables users to send, receive, and manage faxes using any web browser, providing access to fax capabilities from anywhere at anytime.
The DM Web Fax Client works hand in hand with Microsoft Windows Internet Information Services (IIS) and is comprised of a set of web pages and databases. End users can login to the DM Fax Server and authenticate to the DM Web Client user database. From there, users can compose and send faxes, access and review inbound faxes, manage address books, etc.
Sending faxes using DM Web Fax Client is virtually the same as sending an email from any web-based email systems, such as Yahoo Mail or Hotmail. There is no client software to install on the end-user desktops and only minimal user training needed. Users easily create and send fax messages exactly the same way they would using any web-based email system. DM Web Fax Client is perfect for remote users who need to access faxing from remote locations.
With each successful and/or aborted fax transmission, the sender will receive a transmission report. This report displays specific details pertaining to each fax transmission, i.e. date and time, recipient information, unique transmission ID, and as an option, may include a copy of the faxed document.
Inbound faxes are received by the DM Fax Server and routed to the DM Web Fax Client inbox of the intended end-user. Inbound faxes are routed using automatic forwarding functions such as DID, OCR, CSID, and inbound fax line. Faxes may also be disseminated by any DM Web Fax Client user. When faxes are received, DM Fax Server can them in PDF or compressed TIFF format. Faxes can then be viewed using any resident imaging software, Adobe Acrobat reader (PDF), or using Imecom's ShowFax TIFF viewer. Once received, faxes may be saved, printed, annotated, routed to other users, or may be retransmitted via the DM Fax Server.
