The DM Application Connector (DMAC) is essentially a back-office type of connector. It's designed to capture documents and information generated by one or several applications, process it, and deliver it to the intended recipient via a specific delivery method. DM Application Connector functions automatically, so all you need to to is tell it where to capture documents and where to deliver them. The rest is done by DMAC.

There are several methods for creating and submitting a job. Depending on the application type and environment, documents can be captured through print spool capture, directory scan, or FTP.
Once DM Application Connector captures the document to be sent, it must then process the job. Processing a job may include the addition of a fax cover page, background or overlay formatting, extracting recipient information from within the document, splitting a data stream into multiple pages, etc. Job processing is done automatically by DMAC.
Once job processing is finished, the document must then be converted to the correct format for delivery. The format chosen is primarily based on delivery route. Examples of available formats include:
Once conversion is finished, transmission occurs. Transmission options include:
The DM Application Connector gives you the ability to transmit documents via an alternate route should the primary route become unavailable. For example, if your organization needs to fax a purchase order to a vendor, but the vendor's fax device is unavailable, you can configure DMAC to transmit the purchase order via email as a backup route. This ensures that your business information is delivered successfully and on time.
