DM Fax Server for Microsoft Exchange

The DM Fax Server for Microsoft Exchange provides seamless email-to-fax and fax-to-email integration for Microsoft Exchange and Outlook environments.

Features and Benefits

Sending Faxes

Users can compose and send faxes right from their Outlook client, Outlook Web Access, or using any program, i.e. Microsoft Office. Creating a fax is the same as creating an email, right down to attachments. Users may also print-to-fax when using Microsoft Outlook clients. The DM Fax Server for Microsoft Exchange supports the native fax address space of Microsoft Exchange and therefore allows you to use the "Business Fax" field in Outlook Contacts. Fax cover pages are added automatically by the DM Fax Server so users will not have to waste time preparing them any longer.

Receiving Faxes

Faxes received by the DM Fax Server can be routed via email to Outlook users/mailboxes and Exchange public folders. When a fax is received, the DM Fax Server sends it via email as a PDF or TIFF attachment. You can customize the inbound fax email message to include any text that you want, plus CSID of sender, page count, date/time of receipt, and a host of other information fields.

Inbound Fax Routing

The DM Fax Server for Microsoft Exchange offers a number of methods for inbound fax routing. You can route all faxes to a single or shared mailbox, or route automatically to individual users. DM Fax Server can route faxes based on DID/DNIS, DTMF, OCR, CSID, inbound fax line, and a host of other routing criteria. Additionally, you can also route faxes to printers, network folders, and databases. More.

Choose Your Integration Option

The Imecom DM Fax Server offers two integration options for Microsoft Exchange:

* Imecom recommends the new SMTP Email Fax Connector for Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2003/2000 implementations.

Central Administration

The DM Fax Server includes a main MMC-based administration console for centralized administration of the entire fax server system. Here, the fax server system administrator can manage inbound and outbound fax routing rules, main system services, view logs, configure LDAP integrations, and more.

Active Directory Integration

The DM Fax Server for Microsoft Exchange integrates tightly with Microsoft Active Directory. This allows you to keep user management within AD - there are no user accounts to create or manage on the DM Fax Server. Assignment of fax DID numbers can also be done through Active Directory. This direct connection to AD centralizes user administration, eliminates the need for separate user management on the fax server, eliminates synchronization between the fax server and Active Directory, speeds deployment, and ultimately translates into lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

LDAP Support

The DM Fax Server includes an LDAP/Data Connector that pulls information from Active Directory and dynamically places it onto fax cover sheets during job processing. LDAP connectivity is also used for assigning fax cover pages based on your Active Directory user and group structures and can be used for dynamic inbound fax routing as well.
