Fax Integrations for Document Management
The Imecom DM Fax Server extends document management systems (DMS) by allowing you to send and receive electronic documents to and from your DMS. Documents stored within your DMS can be faxed, emailed, posted to the web, and printed automatically. Inbound faxes can be routed to network folders, mailboxes on your email server, through OCR/ICR engines, and into databases, ultimately to be indexed into your DMS.

Sending documents from your Document Management System
DM Fax Server gives you several options for sending documents electronically from your document management system.
Email Fax Connector
- If you can email from your document management system, you can fax. All you need is the DM Fax Server and one of our Email Fax Connectors. Simply enter the recipient fax address where you would enter an email address and the document will be sent via fax. You can even do this programmatically to bypass user intervention. More.
DM Application Connector
- The Imecom DM Application Connector (DMAC) is a production fax automation and e-document delivery connector that allows you to deliver documents from any application automatically. With DMAC, you can fax and email documents, post documents to a web server, print documents, archives documents, and send SMS messages - all from your existing DMS or enterprise applications. More.
Route inbound faxes into your Document Management System
With DM Fax Server, you have several options for integrating received fax images into your document management system.
Imecom DM File Connector
- The DM File Connector is an add-on connector for the Imecom DM Fax Server that enables you to automatically route inbound faxes to one or several network folders. Faxes can be routed to folders in TIFF, PDF, PCX, or DCX format. DM File Connector leverages directory scan features often found within document management system applications. This allows the DMS to picked up fax files from the scan directory and imported/indexed them into the DMS. More.
OCR/ICR and Forms Processing Software
- OCR/ICR and forms processing software plays a central role in many DMS and workflow implementations. Such software is often used in conjunction with multi-function devices for scanning and routing hard copy documents into the DMS. To further maximize your investment in OCR/ICR and forms processing software, DM Fax Server can automatically route inbound faxes through OCR/ICR to convert fax image files into text-editable files which are then indexed into the DMS. Many of these OCR/ICR and forms processing applications include interfaces or "hooks" into popular document management systems, including FileNet, IBM, OnBase, and Documentum.
