Imecom Group, Inc. announces the release of DM Fax Server version 8.20
Wolfeboro, NH (July 21, 2008) - Imecom Group, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise fax server and electronic document delivery solutions, today announced the release of DM Fax Server version 8.20, part of our new Use it Messaging Product Family. More about Use it Messaging.
DM Fax Server version 8.20 includes some exciting new features. Among those are:
- A new SMTP email fax connector specifically designed for integration with Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2003
- Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 32-bit and 64-bit Editions
- Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 64-bit Editions
- Enhancements to the DM LDAP/Data Connector
- Support for the latest Dialogic brooktrout fax board products and drivers
- Expanded support for IP PBX and VoIP products for fax over IP (FoIP)
- Support for VMware ESX Server using the Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 virtual fax board
- Fax client/fax printer driver support for Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit Editions
New SMTP/Exchange Email Fax Connector
As companies migrate from Exchange 2003/2000 to Exchange 2007, electronic fax must also migrate alongside email. Imecom has addressed this need with our new SMTP/Exchange Email Fax Connector. This connector enables customers to integrate the robust faxing features of DM Fax Server into their Exchange 2007 environments, but take advantage of the simplicity of using SMTP. End users can send, receive, and manage electronic faxes using Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Web Access and leverage Outlook Contacts to store and manage fax address books.
Support for 64-bit and 32-bit Windows Server OS Editions
DM Fax Server v8.20 includes support for both 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows Server OS Editions. This means that you can now run the Imecom DM Fax Server on the latest Microsoft OS releases, staying current with Microsoft technology and keeping inline with your upgrade policies. More.
Support for VMware ESX Server
One exciting new feature now available is the ability to completely virtualize your fax server system by running DM Fax Server on VMware ESX Server. This is possible using the Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 virtual fax board software for fax over IP (FoIP). The DM Fax Server and Brooktrout SR140 consolidate fax server resources into IP-PBX and VoIP networks from companies like Cisco, Avaya, Alcatel, Dialogic, and others. More.
